Dr. Byrdie Johnston

Byrdie has returned to practice after the arrival of her children, so like all the other doctors at Tarawere Medical Centre, has first hand understanding of being a parent. She is New Zealand trained and did her GP training at practices in Tauranga and Matamata before starting work as a GP in Rotorua. She is a keen cyclist and if her name seems familiar it may because of the national media coverage of a cycle ride from Auckland to Christchurch to raise money for charity that she completed in 2012.
