Jeanette Edwards

Jeanette also came to Practice Nursing form a background in midwifery and like Margaret, also worked at the Kawerau Maternity Annexe. She then went on to be Charge Midwife at Whakatane Hospital before starting an an Independent Midwife during which time she offered a shared-care service from the Tarawera Medical Centre. After this Jeanette worked at Mountain View Rest Home and stood out for her well organised and perceptive care which made rounds with her a real pleasure. We really missed her when she left the Rest Home but were very happy to have access to her extensive experience, skills and efficiency at the Medical Centre. In addition to all her general nursing duties she arranges all the Skin Cancer appointments and surgical supplies.

Like Margaret and Jackie, Jeanette gets great pleasure form her children and grandchildren. Jeanette’s husband, Mike, provides invaluable handyman work for the surgery.
